MAIN OFFICE ANNEX
The Riggs National Bank
The Boardroom and Executive Offices occupy the three upper floors of the 1924 Annex, designed by Appleton P. Clark Jr. The Board Room, with a large conference room was located on the third level of the Annex, furnished with a custom designed conference table, a podium and extensive audio visual support services. The interiors incorporate a variety of rich materials and finishes including carved marble, fine wood veneers, ornamental plaster work, doors with faux bronze metal painted finish and columns with a faux marble finish. The Chairman’s suite, found on the second level of the Annex, consisted of a private office, an adjacent area for secretarial use and a conference room. The traditional 18th century style of the rooms is a complement to both the dignified neoclassicism of the original York and Sawyer bank building and to the Annex by Appleton Clark Jr..
